How to save money on air conditioning in North Carolina
A review of air conditioning bills shows that some homes in North Carolinias largest cities are not paying the bills they should.
The bills include heating and air conditioning costs of more than $3,000, while heating and cooling costs can be as high as $5,000.
It is not the first time the Carolina Air Conditioning Association has come under scrutiny.
Last year, the state’s top elected official, Republican Gov.
Pat McCrory, said he was worried about the association’s ability to provide services for consumers in the state.
He said, “There are times when we don’t have enough money for our staff to go out and do their jobs.”
In a statement, the association said it was working to meet its goals and is committed to making its work as efficient as possible.
But it said there were also concerns about the way the association handled the issues it was dealing with.
It said, despite efforts to get the bills paid, it was unable to do so.
“In our attempt to make sure bills were paid, the agency did not provide enough information to ensure the bills were accurate, and that there was sufficient oversight,” the statement said.
